St. Mary School Delaware, Ohio

Welcome to St. Mary School

ACTION ALERT!!

Governor Strickland has proposed cutting  $59 million over the biennium in aid to students attending chartered nonpublic schools.  Proposed are cuts in:
  • direct reimbursement to our schools (Administrative Cost Reimbursement) and
  • resources and services such as guidance counselors, remedial assistance, and textbooks  (Auxiliary Services).

Unless the proposed changes in the state’s budget are reversed, a Catholic school of 400 students will receive $43,000 less in state-funded assistance in 2009/2010; a school of 800 students will receive $114,000 less in 2009/2010.

To oppose these cuts, please call or e-mail your legislators TODAY.  The deadline for legislators to finalize the state budget is next week.  To locate contact information for your state representative and senator, go to:  http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/ and type in your zip-code.

Reminder!!!

Tuition forms are due at the end of June.  Please drop them off in the school office (Parish office if school office is closed) or mail them with "Attention: Mrs. Piela or Mrs. Patterson".  If we don't receive the forms by June 31st, we will assume you will be paying in full the first week of school.

Student learning is the chief priority for our school.  We believe students learn best when actively engaged in their quest for knowledge

All students learn in different way.  Therefore our curriculum and instructional practices incorporate a variety of learning activities and assessment strategies.
